Finish your day with a long and much deserved Savasana, and integrate all the insights you uncovered by doing nothing at all. Yoga Nidra, known as “yogic sleep,” is a state of consciousness that exists in the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep, and one that is said to have great healing benefits for the body and mind. For tonight’s practice, under the stars and the waxing Moon, we’ll tap into the power of nature and the ancient wisdom of the cycles of the moon, the seasons, and the breath, to take a journey around the body, Yoga Nidra style. Join me for this sweet surrender to breath, nighttime, moon cycles, and deep, healing rest for body and mind. Practice will include some gentle movement and breathwork upfront to prepare our bodies for a long, guided Savasana. Come dressed for comfort and in layers. Bring additional blankets, sweaters, socks, eye masks or pillows to prepare your nidra nest for rest.
